Director, Data and AnalyticsFull-time Permanent Details: The ACT Courts and Tribunal (ACTCT) supports the proper administration of justice by providing high quality support to judicial officers and tribunal members and high-quality services to those using the courts and tribunal. It provides the Supreme Court, Magistrates Court and ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT) with registry, court support, forensic, corporate and strategic services. The Corporate Information Systems (CIS) team provides both strategic and operational support and services across ACTCT in the following areas: Business systems Cyber and information security Data, reporting, and analytics Library and information services. The CIS team also provides strategic support and advice on digital solutions and strategies as well as fact-based insights to support strategic decision-making. The role of the Director, Data and Analytics is to manage and uplift ACTCT's data and analytics operations and capabilities, to lead the planning, design, delivery, and governance of new data and analytics technologies and solutions, and to improve existing solutions continuously for informing operational improvements. This vital role requires an individual that is proactive, driven, purposeful, and with the following skills and experience: Demonstrated successful and extensive experience in enterprise data warehousing and integration, data architecting and modelling at enterprise level, producing insightful analytics, internal/external reporting, and designing and uplifting data governance and literacy. Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, strategic and system way of thinking, demonstrated coordination and organisational skills, excellent writing and presentation skills, and excellent attention to details. Demonstrated successful experience in leading, managing, building, and driving data and analytics teams to deliver useful and insightful data and analytics solutions from end to end. Demonstrated ability to speak both business and technical languages and present across organisational levels. This role contributes directly to the ACTCT strategic intents to develop its data and analytics capabilities. Eligibility/Other requirements: Tertiary qualifications or experience in data analytics and science, information technology, business information systems, or a relevant field is desirable. Architect-level experience with SQL, Microsoft SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos Analytics, or similar data and analytics technologies is desirable. To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa. If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Criminal History check. This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People registration. This position does not require a pre-employment medical. Notes: An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
