ABOUT THIS ROLE As our catalog offerings expand, we are looking for an experienced, strategic, and highly collaborative leader to support Content Strategy and Audience Development across APAC. Based in Singapore, the newly established Director, Content Programming and Audience Development will be responsible for supporting content strategies that appeal to a wide variety of audiences, working across functions to ensure content plans line up with product and marketing initiatives. As a Director, Content Programming and Audience Development you will... - Support the content strategy for APAC territories - Ensure Marketplace positioning of content feeds into global content strategies - Support marketplace development together with cross-functional stakeholders - Respond to audience needs and cultural and consumer trends, evolving the local content strategy accordingly, in partnership with marketing and product - Contribute to competitive analysis and strategic recommendations - Lead a lean team of high-performers - Develop and oversee a slate of programming that aligns to the content strategy - Set goals, measure progress, and use data to inform programming decisions and effectiveness - Support local originals commissioning, within the broader content portfolio - Provide guidance and materials for internal and external partners to source projects and analyze pitches to green light efforts that ladder up to our overarching vision - Prepare projects for internal support and valuation through collection of data and preparation of budgets, P&Ls, and proposed deal terms - Establish appropriate content budgets for each marketplace, working with Content Development and Production, Content Acquisition and Partnerships, Data Science and Finance teams; have oversight and management of overall local marketplace content budget - Collaborate cross-functionally with Content Development and Production teams, as well as Marketing and PR, to plan and execute against global content tentpoles and across a portfolio of local Audible Originals - Work with cross-functional teams to develop innovative content and programming ideas to drive listener engagement. - Communicate with senior executives regarding overall strategy and high-profile releases - Empower a positive, success-oriented environment that promotes creativity and innovation within guardrails that ensure focus on the biggest-impact opportunities ABOUT AUDIBLE Audible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Sydney, NSW, AUS - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - History with relevant content programming experience, with a demonstrated track record of successful leadership - Marketing experience or exposure to Editorial, Product and Consumer Marketing audience growth plans - Experience overseeing significant budgets - Experience with prioritizing key initiatives and developing business cases for budgets and resource investments - Experience building, managing, coaching, and developing a team - Experienced with defining, developing, and utilizing data-driven metrics and qualitative information #J-18808-Ljbffr
