The organisation is a dynamic, high-performing team committed to responding to the needs of our community while continuously striving for excellence in every aspect of their work.The City of Onkaparinga is seeking a Director Community Services to join the Executive Leadership Team, supporting the Chief Executive Officer in leading and managing the Council's strategic direction and resources.
This role will champion the goal of creating a connected community and sustainable future in the City of Onkaparinga while aligning with the Community Vision.The Director Community Services will lead key Council functions, including Community Capacity, Libraries, Customer Relations, Communication and Engagement, and ensure focus and alignment with the Council's Strategic Directions.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership team, the Director Community Services will influence long-term strategy to create stronger, vibrant communities, while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and driving the Council's effectiveness in community services.As a transformational leader, you will navigate a complex environment with diverse stakeholders, driving positive cultural change and fostering innovation.
You will engage with all levels of government and the private sector, ensuring the best outcomes for the community.
You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in management, community service, or a related field.
