You'll lead a community of practice in engagement and communications, working with EnergyCo staff, contractors, and service providers to ensure effective communication across the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.In this strategic role, you'll provide expert advice to the Office of the Minister, the Chief Executive, and the EnergyCo leadership team. You'll also collaborate with communications specialists across our network of agencies and REZ delivery partners. You have a proven track record in creating and implementing effective communication strategies. Your expertise in community engagement, media management, and overall communications ensures strong relationships with key stakeholders. You excel in managing high-stakes projects and public campaigns, aligning them with corporate strategy and business plans to support EnergyCo and the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap. As a trusted advisor, you handle sensitive issues and provide expert guidance to the Minister, the Secretary, the Chief Executive, and the EnergyCo leadership team, minimising reputational and business risks.You manage corporate branding and marketing activities and oversee EnergyCo's community and online presence through events, websites, social media, and newsletters. You balance a complex workload in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and translate complex energy policies into engaging communications for diverse audiences. Leading a team of engagement and communications professionals, you promote knowledge sharing and capability development.Key Knowledge and ExperienceExperience providing high level community engagement, media advice, strategic communications and marketing and reputational issues management.Previous track record of establishing and maintaining partnerships, networks, and forums with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure high level engagement are maintained.Highly competent project and people manager with excellent communications, stakeholder management and influencing skills.Experience operating in a dynamic environment and drive an innovative and high-performing culture.Tertiary qualification in a communications or related discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of more than 14 gigawatts of new transmission capacity, coordinated with renewable energy and storage, including in five new REZs and two priority transmission infrastructure projects to date.We are responsible for the on-ground infrastructure needed to bring new renewable energy online at the scale and speed to meet our transformation objectives in the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 and NSW Network Infrastructure Strategy.January 2024 EnergyCo NSW joined the newly formed Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water  (DCCEEW) which works to protect the state's environment and heritage.
