If you want to be a part of shaping Victoria's renewable energy transition, we want you to work with us.The VicGrid Director Communications and Corporate Affairs develops and delivers best-practice communications strategies across VicGrid's policy and project delivery program, with the support of a high-performing and geographically-dispersed team. They provide the VicGrid executive with strategic advice on how best to advance VicGrid's profile and reputation as leading the State's urgent transition to renewable energy. They lead VicGrid's media and corporate affairs management. With other senior members of the VicGrid team, they are responsible for managing key relationships between VicGrid and government and industry stakeholders.What you will deliverYou will develop and implement strategies to manage the communications/corporate affairs/public relations aspects of all stages of policy development and project delivery, including overseeing VicGrid's branding and social media strategies and ensuring consistency across all initiatives and products.You will lead policy and project communications teams to proactively identify and promptly respond to media and public affairs issues in consultation with the Director Engagement and VicGrid executives.You will provide guidance and quality control to the team in the preparation of speeches, social media content, fact sheets, newsletters, media releases, correspondence and publicity material, ensuring appropriate input from interested parties.What you will bringExtensive demonstrable experience in developing and delivering communications and corporate affairs strategies and materials through a wide variety of channels and platforms – preferably inside or close to government.Superior people and issues management skills, honed within complex and high-pressured major project and/or policy reform environments: energy sector experience highly regarded.Demonstrated specialist skills to enhance VicGrid's reputation and manage reputational risk, including developing and implementing pro-active and reactive media strategies.Tertiary qualifications in communications or related discipline.If you think you have transferable skills, an appetite to learn, and would be a great fit, we'd love to hear from you.Other relevant information:Preferred candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening, including a Declaration and Consent form and a National Police Check.A Diverse, Inclusive and Flexible WorkplaceVicGrid is an Administrative Office established in relation to the Victorian Department of Energy, Environment and Climate (DEECA).
