As the Director, Campus Development and Services, you will play an important role in helping the university achieve its strategic goals, including its commitment to sustainability, growth, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Campus Development and Services team, overseeing the management of physical infrastructure, operations, and capital projects. Develop and implement campus master plans, carbon management plans, and strategic asset management plans. Oversee space planning, maintenance scheduling, and contractor coordination to optimise campus utilisation and services. Manage the five-year capital works program, overseeing projects valued up to $100 million. Collaborate with university leadership on strategic infrastructure initiatives aligned with the university's growth and sustainability goals. Ensure the effective management of emergency response and security services. Foster a safe, inclusive, and innovative work environment across the department. About You Postgraduate qualifications in engineering, business, or a related discipline with extensive management experience. Proven success leading a diverse department responsible for campus operations and infrastructure. Experience in planning and delivering major capital projects and overseeing complex capital works programs. Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of motivating teams and fostering a positive work environment. Excellent relationship management, consulting, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build credibility at the highest levels. Knowledge of asset management systems and technologies that support campus development. It is preferred that your experience includes the Australian higher education sector. However, this is not essential and candidates with experience outside the Higher Education sector, but in large, complex, matrixed organisations such as Government and Health are also encouraged to apply.
