So much of our success depends on feeling part of a team with people around us that we can rely on.Our Vision: Deliver Solutions that transform the world.Our Values: Care, Courage, Commitment.Wood is currently delivering a portfolio of minerals and metals projects, including but not limited to Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, Precious and Base Metals.Reporting to the Vice President of Growth & Development, you will build, maintain and strengthen respected and valued customer relationships to secure opportunities that provide the greatest probability of success for the business and actively promote the Wood brand, developing our presence in Asia-Pacific and abroad.In this role, some of the duties you will undertake include:General management of Minerals and Metals Business Development activity within APAC.Develop, in conjunction with the Vice President, the strategic plan/s to support the short and medium-term objectives of the business.Define new market entry requirements and win propositions, developing clear pathways to successful pre-qualification, tender, and commercial handover.Client relationship management and sponsorship for key accounts and strategic projects.Assist in the coordination and implementation of conversion strategies associated with feasibility assignments transitioning to implementation.Provide input to project execution plans, including information and intelligence on customer needs, detailing views and opinions on the competitor landscape in order to develop compelling propositions to enhance success.Establish strong customer network and identify opportunities well ahead of time to allow for sufficient strategy development and positioning to maximise chances of securing.Annual and periodic forecasting and budget preparation.Ideally, you will have built a successful career within the Minerals and Metals industry with a breadth of understanding in the lifecycle of projects. You will be energetic, passionate, and have an extensive network which will allow you to excel in this role.Preferably you will also have:Degree level qualifications with extensive experience within the Mining sector, ideally with depth of knowledge and understanding in the establishment and execution of major projects.Demonstrated understanding of customer needs and a consulting framework and able to translate those needs into effective strategies to deliver successfully and secure new work, ideally within an engineering and project management consultancy.Strong networking skills and ability to build a culture of consistent customer focus with internal stakeholders.Be customer-focused with ability to build cohesive and collaborative relationships both internally and externally.Experienced in tender preparation and polished presentation delivery.Commercial acumen, with ability to negotiate with clients to secure contractual frameworks that align with business strategy and client needs, requirements, delivering to long-term partnership.Ability to travel as required.Please note, applicants must have valid working rights in Australia and be Perth based to be considered at this time.It takes an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds to unlock solutions to tomorrow's most critical challenges.
