Our audit support function is split into the Office of the Auditor-General and Corporate Services.What's the role?The Director of Audit Quality reports to the Auditor-General and leads VAGO's quality management system, supporting the Financial Audit and Parliamentary Reports and Services divisions to deliver high-quality audits aligned with Australian standards.The role provides strategic leadership, addresses emerging challenges, and promotes continuous improvement. As a trusted advisor, the Director fosters innovation, develops and maintains audit methodologies, and supports staff development to adapt to evolving audit practices.Who we're looking forYou are an experienced leader with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams. You possess in-depth knowledge of Australian auditing and assurance standards, with hands-on experience applying them to complex audits and reviews. You have a strong background in audit quality management, including developing and implementing methodologies that meet regulatory requirements. You excel at adapting audit approaches to address emerging challenges, including considering emerging technologies and evolving industry standards, making you well-suited for this role.Don't tick all the boxes?
