The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is seeking applications for APS3 Tribunal Services Officer and APS4 Tribunal Officer positions across all of our state CBD locations, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, to support the Case Management, User Service, and Member Support sections.

These positions are available primarily on a full-time ongoing basis; however, non-going and part-time working arrangements can also be considered.

The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) plays a crucial role in the Australian legal landscape, providing a process for individuals and organisations to seek an independent review of decisions made under a wide range of Commonwealth laws.

(APS3) $69,094 - $71,734 per annum + 15.4% superannuation
Working under the direction of the Team Leader, Tribunal Services Officers undertake case-related functions, provide administrative and hearing support to Tribunal members, and provide client service to ART review parties within the Case Management, Member Support, and User Services sections.

The successful candidates will have the ability to acquire and maintain a general working knowledge of the Tribunal's functions, policies, and procedures and apply this knowledge in undertaking case-related functions.

(APS4) $74,072 - $80,424 per annum + 15.4% superannuation
Working under the direction of the Team Leader, the role of the Tribunal Officer is to support members and registrars in conducting reviews, including preparing for hearings and alternate dispute resolution events.

Tribunal Officers may work in one or more jurisdiction areas of the ART and undertake duties that include case management, case analysis, user engagement, and providing administrative assistance.

Possess good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Be highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Be able to keep and maintain accurate case management records.
Possess the ability to work independently, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
In addition to the above, applicants who are interested in the Tribunal Officer - APS4 positions will also require:
Knowledge of the operations, jurisdiction, practices, and procedures of the ART, or an ability to quickly acquire that knowledge, and an ability to apply that knowledge when working on cases and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Sound judgement, able to use your initiative, develop new skills, and accept responsibility for personal development, productivity, and adherence to policy and procedure.
The ability to research, comprehend and analyse information, and apply legal and policy frameworks to cases.
Tertiary qualifications in a field of study that might demonstrate some or all of the required capabilities OR relevant experience in a similar work environment OR subject-matter expertise related to one or more of the ART's jurisdictions.
