This firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Lawyer to head up the Litigation Department, focusing on intellectual property and franchise litigation matters.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven lawyer with a strong litigation background to lead and grow a dynamic team.
About the role: The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in running complex IP and franchise litigation matters and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of litigation, from initial strategy to resolution.
You will be working with a variety of clients, and your role will include managing high-profile cases and contributing to the strategic direction of the department.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage IP and franchise litigation matters from inception to resolution.
Provide expert advice on IP-related disputes and franchise matters.
Oversee the development and implementation of litigation strategies.
Manage client relationships and ensure excellent service delivery.
Conduct advocacy in court, tribunals, and arbitrations.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff and associates.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external counsel.
Contribute to business development efforts and assist in expanding the firm's litigation practice.
Experience needed: Minimum 4 years post-admission experience (PAE).
Candidates on the more junior side who can brief counsel throughout the litigation process will be considered, together with more senior candidates at Senior Associate level who can manage matters independently.
Significant experience in commercial law, specifically in IP and franchise litigation matters.
Proven ability to run litigation matters autonomously, from start to finish.
Strong advocacy skills and experience in representing clients in court.
A collaborative and professional team player with strong leadership abilities.
A client-focused approach with the ability to maintain and grow relationships.
The ability to assimilate into a team that values and supports each other, working together and looking after each other.
