ABOUT US Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Digital Services Librarian to work closely with the Head of Library and Information Services, the Head of ICT Innovation and Learning, and the Library Department staff members. This role will be responsible for promoting digital literacy initiatives, managing digital resources and curriculum materials, overseeing the Library Management System, and managing the student booklist process.
This presents an excellent opportunity to combine your administrative and digital skills, while engaging in a professional and engaging manner with students, staff and families.
This is a full-time permanent ongoing role with an immediate commencement, in a progressive, supportive and well-resourced team environment.
The areas of responsibility for the role include:
Develop, implement and improve the Digital Literacy FrameworkManage the Library Management SystemPromote digital literacy, resources and servicesAssist in the development of digital inclusion initiativesContribute to the development of digital media and research databasesManage and promote digital content and resources, such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, databases and subscriptionsManage and publish curriculum materialsOversee the student booklist processProvide technical support to troubleshoot issues for students, staff and familiesResearch and recommend new e-resourcesABOUT YOU Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role. You are self-motivated, pro-active and energetic, thriving in a collaborative, team focused environment.
Knowledge & Skills Exceptional customer service skillsStrong digital and literacy skillsExcellent cataloguing and IT skillsExperience in Library systems, digital design, websites, and emerging technologiesExperience in source cataloguing in all formats, including print and digitalOutstanding administration skills with an eye for detailFamiliarity with Oliver Library Management System (LMS) and Schools Catalogue Information Service (SCIS) would be an advantageExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with students and staff in a curriculum focused school library environmentQualifications Bachelor of Library or Information StudiesSpecific training in IT / Digital Information ManagementEligible for membership to the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)Working with Children CheckNational Crime CheckWHY JOIN CAMBERWELL GRAMMAR SCHOOL?
