The Digital Quality and Assurance Engineer will play a critical role championing quality and delivery excellence across the Transforming Boroondara program by implementing and guiding proven testing practices. Leveraging a deep understanding of quality assurance and testing practices, the role will manage release readiness, mitigating risk and delivering comprehensive functional tests across the Digital and Data suite of diverse products.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Collaborating with development and delivery teams to project UAT requirements, developing and executing robust test plans for digital products.Writing automated testing scripts to ensure the automated software platform can speed up all levels of testing including regression testing.Producing industry-standard scripting and execution maintenance of end-to-end test conditions and cases.Analysing test output data to identify trends that feed insights into continuous improvement, introducing new tools or methodologies to streamline workflows.Actively influencing stakeholders to build strong relationships across council and effectively communicating progress and challenges.Identifying opportunities for process improvement initiatives to enhance program assurance efficiency and effectiveness.Collaborating with designers, developers, and product teams to identify and address accessibility barriers throughout the development lifecycle.About You
You will bring to our organisation:
Substantial experience as a Digital Quality Assurance Engineer in a large-sized organisation with a minimum of 3+ years' experience as a software systems integration/UAT Test analyst or similar for complex web applications.Demonstrated experience in Drupal testing (versions 8 to 11 preferred), including testing of content management workflows, modules, and custom functionalities.Proven experience in data testing for dashboards (PowerBI highly regarded) and database storage (SQL) for accuracy and integrity.Demonstrated experience with content management systems.High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of insights and assurance observations.Experience with severity analysis and a range of web and online applications/platforms.Highly developed verbal, written, and liaison communication skills including the ability to communicate with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds.About Us - We're looking to give customers great experiences
