About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Digital Program Principal - Meter to Cash. As the Digital Program Principal, you will be responsible for leading the professional and strategic delivery of designated digital projects and programs, with a primary focus on leading Essential Energy's 'Meter to Cash' program. This program covers the implementation of a new, fit for purpose technology solution that will manage meter data, meter assets, market gateway, customer information and network billing.
Your role will ensure the successful transition to modern, efficient, and scalable systems that enhance operational capabilities and customer satisfaction. This role will be a fixed term contract for two years (duration)/secondment. This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy's operational footprint.
Lead project and program delivery teams, manage performance, and develop employees for career advancement.Promote a strong workplace culture focused on safety, customer-centricity, efficiency, and commercial soundness.Manage governance practices and prepare reports for senior management and the Board.Lead contract and contractor management for equipment supply or service provision.Build strong relationships across Essential Energy and with external stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes.Provide specialized reporting on project and program performance, including risks and issues.Ensure consistent application of business processes and systems in project and program delivery.Promote respect, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and embed these values in the workplace.About You
You are a dynamic and experienced leader with a proven track record in delivering complex digital projects and programs. Your expertise in managing large-scale technology implementations, particularly within the 'Meter to Cash' domain, sets you apart. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at navigating the challenges of transitioning to modern, efficient, and scalable systems.
Extensive experience in leading large-scale digital transformation projects, particularly within the utilities sector or similar industries.Proven track record in managing 'Meter to Cash' programs or similar technology implementations.Experience in project and program management, with a strong understanding of governance practices and performance reporting.Extensive stakeholder and relationship management skills, with an ability to effectively communicate, partner and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholders and customers.Strong contract management skills, particularly for large, complex commercial negotiations.Commitment to promoting a culture of safety, customer-centricity, and inclusivity.Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Program Management, Project Management, Business, or other relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience through past employment and/or relevant qualifications.Post graduate qualification in technology or management.Agile certification.Project Management certification (e.g., PMI PMP or PRINCE2).Why Essential Energy
