Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) is seeking a passionate Digital Product (UX/UI) Designer to join our Digital Product and Development team in a permanent full-time role. This role is perfect for someone who thrives as the voice of the customer, enjoys crafting innovative solutions to enhance user experiences, and is skilled in user research and continuous discovery activities.
The successful candidate will confidently take ownership of an existing digital product portfolio, conducting heuristic reviews and refining user journeys to drive incremental improvements. With experience designing or enhancing end-to-end customer journeys—including e-commerce or member engagement mobile apps—they will contribute to shaping product roadmaps in collaboration with Product Managers. Experience applying a UX/UI perspective to large-scale systems overhaul projects will be highly regarded.
Reporting to the Head of Digital Delivery, this role collaborates with cross-functional teams across IT, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data, and Finance. A typical day might include participating in team stand-ups, observing users at a local gym interacting with app updates, refining Figma screens based on feedback, and analyzing user interaction data to identify actionable improvements. No two days will be the same in this dynamic and rewarding role.
Although no two days will be the same, a typical day may consist of: Participating in the weekly catch-up with the wider Product team to align on priorities for the week and discussing any updates or learnings from the previous weekParticipating in a squad's daily stand-upHeading to one of our local gyms to observe customers interacting with a newly released update to our mobile app to monitor impacts of changes to the customer experienceUpdating Figma screens for upcoming app feature work based on vetted feedback coming out of a stakeholder review sessionReviewing user interaction with our digital products using Clarity and discussing with Product Managers to determine if there are any actionable items based on findingsKey duties and responsibilities include: In conjunction with the wider product team, play a role in the development and delivery of a digital product roadmap which results in an increase in conversions, member retention, engagement and satisfactionLeading the creation of engaging and intuitive user experiences across our range of digital productsDeveloping and driving continuous discovery approaches to enable data-driven member-centric continuous delivery in collaboration with Product ManagersUtilising, maintaining and enhancing the existing "design system"Play a key role in agile team ceremonies as the product design SMESkills & Experience: Prior experience in a Digital Product Design roleExperience in a similar role in a retail/leisure or other B2C environment which included an ecommerce aspect and/or custom mobile appsStrong knowledge of and passion for modern customer-centric design and relevant processes, methodologies and toolsExperience in development and execution of UX research activitiesExperience with Figma (or similar interface design tools)Experience with Agile methodologiesRelevant tertiary qualificationExperience in creating user personas, journey maps, wireframes and prototypes to guide design decisionsExperience presenting design ideas in audience-appropriate manner such as using clickable prototypes vs low fidelity mock-upsExperience optimising existing subscription flows, onboarding experiences and retention-focused designsExperience in use of A/B testing processesIn return we offer you: A passionate, innovative, energetic, and supportive culture.
