About the Role We are seeking an energetic, proactive Digital Producer with excellent attention to detail, to provide efficient and innovative daily content for the ABC News website. You will be responsible for producing and sub editing digital content for news websites using CoreMedia and other production systems. Under the direction of the NT Digital Editor you will also:
Write and check stories for factual and style errors/inconsistencies.  Liaise with newsroom colleagues from TV, radio and social teams, teams covering territory wide stories, and national digital teams. Contribute ideas for digital coverage of territory wide stories and events and take part in editorial meetings as required.  Maintain an understanding of current events and issues, monitoring a wide range of media outlets/sources. Develop and foster a network of contacts and sources.  Ensure appropriate coverage of stories from the Northern Territory.  About You Using your Digital journalism skills and experience of working in a news environment and strong understanding of online news and social media, you will have sound methods of online content distribution and engagement. You will also have:
A demonstrated track record as a meticulous, fast and accurate sub-editor able to correct and, where necessary, rewrite copy to the highest standards.  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team.  A wide range of knowledge of local, national and international news issues with a strong understanding of and commitment to the needs of the audience.  Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work accurately and autonomously to tight deadlines are essential.  We would love to see your work.  Please submit material with your application online (include examples, links to websites or attach audio/video files up to 5MB).
