The Maintenance Print Specialist will ensure the continued safe, optimized performance of our digital printing equipment and related systems. This role involves monitoring uptime and quality performance, completing preventative and proactive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, repairing equipment and ensuring print quality is maintained. What you'll do all day: Provide maintenance support for all digital printing presses to ensure continued and optimized performance.Adhere to safety protocols and standard processes when operating machinery. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, OEM representatives, and Safety personnel to uphold safe work practices. Identify and implement improvements as part of our standard procedures.Perform timely and skilled troubleshooting both autonomously and as part of a wider team including OEM technical groups for the resolution of breakdowns and print quality issues.Qualify substrates and develop detailed substrate profiles for production.Establish and validate colour profiles to ensure consistency with press-produced output.Report issues and capture details of all work performed in the business CMMS (Mex).Identify gaps in operator capability and performance – provide tailored training to drive improvements, bringing to bear OEM support where required.Assess the capabilities of the broader maintenance team, address skill deficiencies, and provide tailored training, bringing to bear OEM support where required.Develop strategies to optimize the lifespan of consumables and improve workflow efficiency.Manage and maintain RIP (Raster Image Processor) software systems, ensuring timely resolution of errors.Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses for reprints, identifying and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.Maintain an inventory of spare parts and conduct comprehensive audits as per business protocols.What you will bring: At least five years in work experience in a maintenance roleRecognised trade certificate in a relevant tradeAdvanced degree or equivalent certification in process control a plusLean training and experience preferredInstallations experienceAble to read electrical block diagrams, schematics as well as PLC ladder logicWe are looking for someone with: IntegrityCompetence and AttitudeExhibits growth mindsetDemonstrates initiativeEnjoys working in a TeamCommunication skills - Written and VerbalAbility to analyse, develop a plan and achieve resultsTakes pride in their work and values a clean and structured work environmentMust have flexible schedule and available during all hours of operation (including night shifts)Why Vista: At Vista, we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse team that reflects the communities in which we operate.
