School of Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education Part-time 0.8, fixed-term position (until Nov 2024) at our Hawthorn campus HEW Level 5 salary + 17% superannuation and benefits About the Role  We are seeking a Digital Media Producer to support Professor Kath Albury's Australian Research Council Future Fellowship: 'Digital and data capabilities for sexual health policy and practice'.
The project aims to improve Australian health workforce digital capabilities relating to sexual health and wellbeing, including issues related to social media cultures, content moderation and regulation, platform governance, data privacy and data security.
Working closely with Prof Kath Albury and Dr Samantha Mannix, you will assist with developing materials for research translation and produce a toolkit of accessible digital resources (including web content, social media and video podcasts).
Project outputs will support the Australian sexual and reproductive workforce's capacity to understand and meet the digital sexual health needs of young adults (18-29 years).
This project is aligned with the Swinburne node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society (ADM+S).
This role is scoped as 0.8FTE (4 days per week) for three months, with some capacity for flexibility.
About You   To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:  Demonstrated graphic design skills, and experience of media production – including content creation using Canva and/or Adobe, and the creation of audio-visual content for video-hosting, web and social platforms.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated capacity to manage complex production tasks in order to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated experience of research translation i.e.
creating engaging research reports, producing podcasts, video explainers, and other media content based on academic research is highly desirable.
Interest/experience in one or more of the following areas: gender/sexuality/reproductive rights and advocacy; community organising; community education; data justice; digital inclusion.
Qualifications A Bachelor degree, diploma or equivalent in a relevant field – such as media and communication, communication design or graphic design.
