Band 7 - $100,629 - $112,594 yearly, plus 11.5% statutory superannuation Are you a Digital Marketing all-rounder with a flair for creativity? We are on the hunt for a talented Digital Marketing Officer to join our innovative Communications and Media team.
You'll have the opportunity to lead Council's digital portfolio – you will develop a wide range of digital content, including graphic design, videography, and more, all while maintaining and enhancing Council's digital presence.
In this role, you will bring a blend of creativity and strategic thinking to the table - creating engaging, on-brand campaigns that resonate with our diverse community.
If you are a Canva expert, with the ability to build templates, manage system rollout, and implement training for a large organisation, we would love to hear from you!
We are one of the most innovative local government communications teams in regional Victoria, with opportunities to build campaigns from the ground up – everything from idea generation to execution and evaluation.
Key responsibilities You will curate and develop high-quality digital content, such as photography and videography, to support campaigns and improve proactive engagement.
Managing Council's social media platforms will be a key part of your role, ensuring effective communication and timely responses to community inquiries.
You'll also stay on top of emerging trends and technologies, applying them to engage stakeholders in innovative ways.
Your creativity will be essential to develop new solutions to digital challenges, ensuring our content remains fresh, impactful and AWESOME.

Here is what we are looking for:
Qualifications or experience You might have a degree in design or visual communications, or solid experience developing visual and written digital content.
Either way, your expertise will be at the forefront in this role.
Local government knowledge: experience or knowledge of local government processes is a bonus, but not essential.Broad digital skills: you are comfortable using various platforms to create and present diverse media forms, delivering measurable results.Canva expertise: you are a Canva pro, able to create eye-catching content and manage templates effectively.Expert organisational skills: you are highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage your time effectively.You don't need to tick every box in the key selection criteria to apply - we value transferable skills and a can-do attitude.
