The Role This newly created position will play a key role in ensuring TasWater's digital infrastructure is secure, and stable, and supporting our teams to provide exceptional water and sewerage services for a thriving Tasmania.
Lead the management of TasWater's IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.Oversee maintenance of digital and technology infrastructure, including data centers, networks, and end-user devices.Ensure business continuity by developing disaster recovery plans and managing smooth transitions of new technology services.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align infrastructure needs with strategic objectives.Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and service level agreements for infrastructure services.Drive continuous improvement and embed best practices in infrastructure management and service delivery.What we're looking for To be successful we're looking for the following experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field.Extensive experience in managing ICT operations or infrastructure in a large, complex organisations where security and reliability are critical.Proven leadership and team management experience within a technology environment.Strong technical expertise in ICT operations and project management.Excellent communication and skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.Industry certifications (e.g., VMware, CISCO, Microsoft, ITIL) are desirable.The Details This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport and attracts a salary of circa $190,000 (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
