The Digital Engagement Officer supports the Digital Engagement Team to provide strategic digital engagement advisory services across DEECA.
This position is responsible for the administration of the department's online consultation platform and supports the delivery of other digital tools to support engagement capability and capacity.
The Digital Engagement Officer is responsible for content maintenance and relevance on the Engagement Hub – an online tools and resources platform on DEECA's intranet to support engagement practice across the department.
This position supports the Digital Engagement Manager's implementation and coordination of the Public Engagement Framework by embedding the 6 principles of the framework in all digital engagement advisory support.
Support the delivery of digital engagement consultations, strategies and plans across Engage Victoria and engagement planning platforms in-line with the Public Engagement Framework and DEECA's Community Charter.
Provide operational support and partner with project, policy, communication and initiative leads to deliver best practice digital engagement strategies, tools and services that support better digital engagement with the community.
Monitor public consultations to ensure to DEECA's key messaging and brand, consultations are up to date, reflective of project stages and follow through with community.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, digital communications, community development, IAP2 certification or similar.
Previous experience in stakeholder or community engagement or partnerships.
Previous experience in digital engagement platforms like Engage Victoria, Consultation Manager, Social Pinpoint or similar highly desirable.
This is a fixed term position until 22 August 2025.
The work location for this position is -flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
