The Opportunity As a Digital Developer in the City of Perth, you will address business challenges using Microsoft 365 tools, focusing on agile development and iterative feature deployment to improve City operations. This role encompasses consulting, solution design, application development, and issue resolution. Additionally, it involves providing technical advice to stakeholders, and engaging customers to explore innovative solutions through prototyping and negotiation.
Reporting to the Senior Software Developer within our ICT team, your responsibilities would primarily include:
Develop and support digital applications supporting business requirements;Develop and support the portfolio of Information Systems which:Meet or exceed the agreed service levels with business stakeholders.Have the flexibility and scalability to meet organisational demand and minimise operational costs.Run efficiently and economically (Lean) with unused functionality identified and withdrawn promptly.Are well structured with data integrity and consistency.Provide adequate guides and documentation for end user navigation.Work closely with the Senior Software Developer Lead, ICT Leads, end users, suppliers/vendors, the architecture team, and others to understand and contribute to business goals and information needs for design specifications and builds; andMaintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks.About You To succeed in this role, you will possess:
Minimum 2 years' experience in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and development technologies, including web design and development (UX, Agile, SOA);Minimum 2 years in developing PowerApps, Power Automate, Workflows, Design, Configuration, Security, Scripting, Deployment, Web/online design and development techniques, SharePoint;Experience in source control (Git, Azure DevOps) and tools (Visual Studio, Postman); andProgramming and scripting experience in C#, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and TypeScript.If your experience and capabilities match these criteria, we welcome your application.
