The Technology Team at Granny Smith has an opportunity for a Specialist Digital & Control Systems to join their team.
Reporting to the Superintendent Technology & Data Communications, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, profitable and efficient operations by implementing and supporting the best technological solutions for operational SCADA and system design, integration and automation; operational data collection, management analysis, ISO27001 compliance and reporting.
This role would be offered on a 8 days on, 6 days or 4 days on, 3 days off roster Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.
Benefits include: Quarterly Bonus SchemeSalary sacrifice optionsIncreased annual leave entitlementsEmployee referral program - $10,000 per successful referral!Employee Assistance ProgramLong service leave pro rata after 5 years of continuous serviceOngoing training and development opportunitiesAbout the role: Manage the site Process Control Management of Change process, ensuring all changes are approved, well documented, and tested;Identify, implement, and manage control system upgrades to improve reliability of operational technology;Recognise and input process optimisation opportunities by utilising operational technology, including automated plant startups and shutdowns;Provide technical direction and support to electrical personnel in fields of instrumentation, process control, automation, functional safety, industrial data networks and tele-remote/guidance systems.About you: You will have a tertiary qualification - Diploma or Degree in Control Systems Engineering, IT or related disciplinePrior proven process control system experience, preferably in the Mining industryPrior experience in gold or base metals and milling operations is desirableExperience with automation of Mineral Processing PlantsProficiency in AVEVA Plant SCADA; Schneider EcoStruxure Control Expert; Octoplant; and TCP/IP, WiFi, Ethernet and fibre optic communications would be highly regarded.Knowledge of OsiSoft PI Historian and underground remote operational technology is desirableApplications can be submitted via: https://careers.goldfields.com/Australia Gold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
