Salary: Commencing from $125,151.94 to $140,036.92 depending on skills and experience (Plus 15% superannuation)

Job Purpose & Reporting: The principal role of the Digital [Campaign] Communications Officer is to coordinate and execute the social media strategy for the QCU. The position will report to the Assistant General Secretary and ultimately to the General Secretary of the QCU.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with developing online campaign strategies;Develop online content for all major social media platforms including graphics, videos, and user-generated content (UGC) and landing pages;Coach and mentor volunteers and activists to share content and create effective UGC;Provide advice and input on strategic online advertising.Required Knowledge and Experience: Relevant experience in social media management within a union and/or political and/or social campaigns, and the creation of attractive graphics and user-generated content.
Skills and Abilities: High-quality graphic design;Basic video editing skills;Basic web-design skills;High level communication and interpersonal skills;Proven capacity to implement projects and meet competing deadlines;Ability to produce high volumes of quality content;Well-developed personal organizational and administrative skills;Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative team member;Capacity to self-manage own time and work and to meet competing deadlines;High level of familiarity working with Adobe Suite including InDesign, Publisher, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.Personal Attributes: High level ability to work with staff in collaborative projects and to promote a cooperative and cohesive team approach;Demonstrated commitment to the values and principles of trade unionism and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders within the trade union movement;Demonstrated commitment to the respect and values of cultural and social diversity both within the workforce and the community.Other: This is a full-time permanent position based in Brisbane.
