Digital Accessibility Specialist

Our client is looking for an Accessibility Specialist to play a pivotal role in enhancing the digital experience for all users, particularly those with disabilities.
You will leverage your expertise in accessibility standards and best practices to ensure our digital products and services are inclusive, compliant, and user-friendly.
6 Months Contract Remote: Australia wide offices located in Melbourne | Sydney Responsibilities
Accessibility Consulting: Provide expert guidance and consultation to design, development, and product teams to integrate accessibility into every stage of the product lifecycle. Accessibility Testing and Auditing: Conduct thorough accessibility audits, testing, and evaluations to identify and address accessibility barriers in digital products and services. Accessibility Training and Advocacy : Educate and empower teams across the organization on accessibility principles, standards, and best practices through training sessions, workshops, and mentorship. Accessibility Strategy and Governance: Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation's accessibility strategy, policies, and procedures. Stay Updated on Accessibility Trends : Continuously research and stay up-to-date on the latest accessibility standards, technologies, and best practices. Required Skills:
Deep understanding of accessibility standards: WCAG 2.2, ADA, AODA, etc. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills : Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Passion for accessibility: A commitment to creating inclusive digital experiences.
