A Digital Accessibility Specialist will drive accessibility improvements to our digital initiatives that advance the ANU Digital Master Plan. In this role you will be key to impacting our equity and inclusion outcomes. You will be a significant in activities across digital solution lifecycles. This will include working with people who study and work with disabilities, and surfacing accessibility across design, procurement, development as well as support processes in several digital solutions.

As a Digital Accessibility Specialist (DAS) you will work in a small practice team to activate and coordinate digital accessibility practice activities across a range of digital initiatives. You will represent our practice by ensuring appropriate accessibility expertise in discovery, design, development, testing and reporting activities in several digital projects. You will design and deliver presentations and training programs for stakeholders across the university to support the advancement of accessibility awareness and practices. You will contribute to developing best practice resources in digital accessibility to support digital projects. You will be a key influence in progressing our ambitions to create accessible and inclusive digital environments.
Key Duties:
Activate and coordinate digital accessibility activities in various digital projects to ensure accessibility is appropriately embedded, including planning, monitoring and reporting activitiesWCAG testing and reporting for various solutions and toolsConsult and collaborate with key stakeholders on a range of disability and inclusion initiatives pertaining to the digital environment.Contribute to design guides and practice guides to support digital accessibility.Produce knowledge, articles and presentationsConduct various research and reporting activities to support digital accessibilityContribute to strategic thinking and development of strategic artefacts to advance accessibility and Inclusion In our digital environment.Capture and manage user stories to support digital accessibilityAbout You
