The consultant position can be either a Senior Digitial Accessibility Consultant role or a Digital Accessibility Consultant role, dependent on experience.
This role can be located anywhere in Australia, we work flexibly, and our new team member will be able to work from home and from the office (if we have an office where you are located!)
The position can be permanent part-time or full-time and we welcome a discussion about this.

The goal of the Accessibility Consultant role is to enable TTC clients to better understand why and how to make their web sites, applications, and digital environments accessible to people with disability.
The Accessibility Consultant is responsible for delivering professional accessibility services to our clients.
Primarily, this includes:Providing digital accessibility consultancy Accessibility audits, reviews and reporting against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and guidance and support on remediationDesign reviewsDesigning and delivering accessibility training and presentationsCoaching teamsSupporting clients with strategy and roadmapsSupporting clients to better understand accessibility tooling optionsContributing to marketing initiativesChampioning digital accessibilityRole responsibilities include:Provide consultancy and guidance to TTC Global clients in relation to digital accessibility and technical expertiseProvide professional, exceptional customer service to TTC Global clients and potential clientsConduct accessibility audits against WCAG (all versions and levels) on multiple digital platforms, using automated tools, manual testing and testing with assistive technologiesClearly describe issues and barriers and provide best practices, solutions, and recommendations for remediationProduce detailed findings to document identified issues and recommend potential techniques and best practices for remediationDesign, develop and deliver digital accessibility training for a variety of audiences (virtually and in person)Represent TTC Global at events (virtual and in person) and where relevant present at those eventsRemain current on global accessibility best practice, trends, latest guidelines, and standardsContinuously improve the TTC Global Digital Accessibility Practice offering through collaboration with the team and Global Accessibility Practice Technical LeadSkills, Experience and QualificationsRole related experienceExperience in digital accessibilityExperience of independent WCAG auditing on web and native mobile platformsExperience using assistive technology for testing such as JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOverKnowledge of HTML required, knowledge of CSS and JavaScript preferredAn understanding of WAI-ARIA and commonly used ARIA attributesDemonstrated attention to detailDemonstrated problem solving skillsDemonstrated sound time management skills and ability to meet deadlinesExperience in describing accessibility issues and providing actionable solutions and recommendationsDemonstrated excellent communication skills, including written, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical teams and a variety of stakeholdersExperience coaching, mentoring or upskilling stakeholdersDesirable Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer science, engineering, or another related fieldInternational Association of Accessibility Professionals certification(s) (WAS, CPACC and CPWA)Professional Certificate in Web Accessibility (or similar)Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (or similar) IndustryIT Services and IT ConsultingEmployment TypeFull-time
