Role responsibilities Clinical Practice: Undertake high level dietetic duties within the food service department at the Townsville Hospital and deliver high level dietetic services (which include screening, assessment, intervention and evaluation) to patients in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, with a high degree of independence and infrequent need for clinical practice supervision. Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence. Contribute to clinical research activities within the area of dietetic practice. Coordinate local clinical education programs for nutrition assistants and dietetic student. Communication/Team Participation: Provide general clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery. Work cooperatively and effectively within a team and with patients / clients. Leadership / Work Unit Management: Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of dietetic services Provide clinical practice supervision to HP3 dietetic practitioners and CA3 clinical assistants to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
