CQMHAODS provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition, there is an Adult Step Up Step Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.
About the role:This position delivers high quality, evidence based dietetic services as a member of a multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers with metabolic nutritional issues and eating disorders, their carers and relevant stakeholders with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within a recovery and rehabilitation framework.
About you:Mandatory qualification/s: Possession of a recognised degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and eligibility for full membership with the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) and Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status.The successful applicant must participate in and ensure compliance with credentialing and defining scope of clinical practice processes for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field would be well regarded. Credentialed status with the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) as an Eating Disorder Clinician is highly desired.Experience working in mental health and, more specifically, eating disorder practice is highly desirable.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 p.a. is comprised of:
