Healthy Living NT is the trading name of the Diabetes Association of the NT Inc. which was established in 1980.
The Association is a charitable, member based, organisation for people with diabetes and related conditions.
As a consumer based organisation the Association is managed by a voluntary board, committed to the well-being of all people with diabetes and related conditions.

In conjunction with other members of the education and health promotion team: Impart knowledge and understanding of diabetes, cardiac and related conditions management principles to people with the condition and support networks.
Assist other health professionals and participate in educational programs.
Support the development of educational resources appropriate for Northern Territory clients and health professionals.
If applicable, deliver a private dietetics service.
Is this the right role for you?
Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) Attained or have Provisional APD Status A well-developed understanding of adult education learning principles, presentation skills, stages of behaviour change and group education NT Driver's License (or willingness to obtain) Ability to participate in planning, implementing and evaluating education programs, resource development and health promotion activities A well-developed understanding of adult education learning principles, presentation skills, stages of behaviour change and group education Awareness of cultural issues and their impact on clinical practice NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
