Your primary responsibility will be the provision of specialist high quality nutritional care to paediatric patients requiring dietary modification or nutritional support and their families; clinical workload may include gastroenterology and ketogenic diet therapies and other medical specialities as required. The role also includes the provision of clinical supervision and mentoring within the dietetic team, co-convening of external nutrition courses, as well as teaching and training students and clinicians. It may also include rotation on the weekend roster.
What you'll achieve: Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is integrated and effectiveProvide nutritional care to paediatric patients (inpatients and outpatients) and nutritional support across a variety of specialist/medical unitsBuild and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including food service and formula room staff, to ensure patient and ward needs are addressed effectivelyAs an experienced paediatric clinician provide clinical and professional support, clinical supervision and mentoring to less senior clinicians.Leadership of the quality portfolio and active participation of quality improvement activities within the Department.Your skills and experience: Eligibility for full Membership of Dietitians AustraliaEligibility for the Accredited Practising Dietitian ProgramHold a degree in Dietetics from an accredited course/university, or for overseas candidates the Dietetic Skills Recognition assessment administered by DA.Experience in clinical dietetics, minimum of 7 years, including sound background knowledge of paediatrics.Other requirements: Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtainValid Working with Children CheckCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtainCompliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedureApplication process: To apply, you will need a resume and a tailored cover letter outlining your skills, experience, and suitability for the position in line with the requirements of the position description.
