Dietitian – Grade 2 Part time 0.5EFT, Fixed term role for 12 months (working Monday, Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays) Excellent employee benefits including salary packaging Ongoing training and development opportunities, including clinical supervision Hub of medical precinct in Parkville, Melbourne The Role: This is a Part time 0.5 EFT Fixed term role for 12 months within the Nutrition and Food Services & Endocrinology and Diabetes Departments working Monday, Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays.
Your primary responsibility of this position as a key member of the Diabetes Allied Health team is to provide dietitian services to young people living with diabetes and their families.
In consultation with the rest of the Diabetes Allied Health Team the Dietitian will ensure young people and families have the knowledge and skills to manage their diabetes within the hospital and in their local community.
It may also involve nutritional management of other paediatric patients requiring dietary modification or nutritional support and their families within RCH.
It may also include rotation on the weekend oncall roster.

About Nutrition and Food Services: The Department of Nutrition and Food Services at The Royal Children's Hospital incorporates the clinical dietetic service, the Main Kitchen that caters for inpatient meals and the Central Formula Room that produces formula, enteral feeds and fortifies expressed breast milk to meet the nutritional needs of patients.
The Department is also a registered NDIS provider.
