We are seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position.The key responsibilities for the role include:Daily mechanical duties.Workshop repair and maintenance of diesel trucks and trailers.Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs, including diagnosis and troubleshooting.Accurately record all work carried out and book out parts correctly.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and look for improvement opportunities.Adherence to safe working practices.Maintenance of a clean and organized workshop environment.Desired candidate profile:AQF Certificate III as a Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) or equivalent trade qualification qualifying for registration for an NSW Motor Trades Persons Certificate.Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel truck mechanic.Ability to operate with minimal supervision.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Computer experience would be desirable.Exceptional time management skills to ensure efficient operation and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Current forklift licence.Remuneration:$73,000 – $83,000 per annum. Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates.
