Job Details
Borg is a privately owned Australian company. Continual investment in advanced technology enables the opportunity for a diverse career path like no other. We currently have 5 fully equipped workshops in Australia with OEM diagnostics scan tools and specialty tooling with in-house maintenance software forecasting and scheduling workloads.
We are currently looking for Mechanics based at our Somersby facility. We have a fleet of over 1,700 vehicles which consists of Cars, Rigid Trucks, Prime Movers and Trailers, Forklifts and Construction and Plant equipment which we service in our in-house workshops.
The Scope of work we are exposed to: Basic and major truck and trailer servicing to comply with NHVR accreditationMajor overhauls and midlife rebuildsPreventative maintenanceAccident damage and repairsNew Vehicle pre-delivery and fit outsForklift service and repairsScissor lift and Boom lift service and repairsWelding, machining and fabricationAuto electrical and Air conditioningHydrostatic drives, Hydraulic circuits and componentsSome of the brands of machinery we work on: Volvo, Mack, Isuzu, UD and Hino TrucksKomatsu, Liebherr, Sennebogen, Volvo, CAT, Terex and BobcatVawdrey, Barker and Freighter trailersLinde, Toyota, Crown and Komatsu forkliftsGenie and JLG scissor lifts and boom liftsWe have positions available on our day, afternoon and night shifts. Our shifts operate from Monday to Friday. Our shift structure is as follows:
Day Shift - 6.30am to 2.36pmAfternoon Shift - 2.45pm to 11.51pmNight Shift - 10.30pm - 6.36amIn this role you will be responsible for: All servicing and repairs to the company's fleet, including trucks, forklifts and company carsCarrying out all repairs and maintenance (including completion of all paperwork) in a timely and professional mannerOccasional attendance at side-of-road breakdown jobs requiring repair/serviceThe successful applicant will have: A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel, Plant or Auto-Electrician MechanicDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesA strong work ethicThis is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work for a growing and dynamic company with long term career opportunities.
