We are looking for a talented Mechanical Technician with either a light vehicle or heavy commercial qualification to join our high performing workshop team.
Cummins specializes in Heavy Vehicle service, repairs, and maintenance across mining, on-highway trucks, industrial and power generation applications at our Hume facility located 15KM from Canberra CBD.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Deliver a first-class service to our customersComplete service, repairs, and maintenance of heavy diesel products in our workshopDiagnose and repair various engines predominately across on-highway, industrial and power generationEnsure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues/incidents to the Workshop ManagerComplete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screensBe part of a community of like-minded individuals, who value your input & are open to all viewpoints & communicationTo be successful in this role you will need the following: Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)Previous repairs and maintenance experience with Diesel Engines, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Construction or Agriculture desirable but not essential.Diagnostic and problem-solving capabilitiesBe a team player & be prepared to adhere to Cummins PoliciesEnsure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues/incidents to shift supervisorsCompensation and Benefits $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS!!
Competitive hourly + shift allowance rate paid as a permanent salary, Overtime penalties for all work above standard Monday to Friday 38-hour work week.
