What we Offer Enjoy being based in sunny RockhamptonPermanent/full-time position (Mon-Fri) offering stability and a great work-life balanceDay Shift with overtime available that can further increase total earnings significantlyHighly competitive rates plus penalties plus comprehensive incentives and benefits that reward our peopleWork for a fast growing company offering excellent training, progression & supportWork on well-maintained machinery with a company with a strong safety cultureGreat team in a supportive environment (team bonding events, BBQs & family days)Key Responsibilities Conduct mechanical assessments for diagnosis and fault finding in machinery ensuring efficient repair, maintenance and servicing to keep our fleet on the roadService the entire fleet including trucks, trailers, dollies and motor vehicles in adherence to our Maintenance and Workshop procedures.Identify issues, recommend solutions and perform replacement of brakes, suspension components, steering systems and major engine components.Conduct body building tasks, including welding and grinding of chassis or comb rails on flat top trailersHandle auto electrical work on all 12 or 24 Volt systemsTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues ensuring minimal downtimeOrder and replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring adherence to Quality Standards and Manufacture SpecificationsDevelop and/or update preventative maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of equipment and reduce breakdownsMaintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and parts used ensuring compliance with company Policies & ProceduresAdhere to all Safety protocols and Regulations always ensuring a safe working environmentRequired Skills/Expertise A min.
2yrs experience as Diesel Mechanic working on fleet vehicles/trailers etc.Australian recognized Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Trade QualificationUnlimited Australian work rights (no restrictions)Passionate about all things mechanical with an ability to think critically and creatively to help in diagnosing complex mechanical problems efficientlyA meticulous approach ensuring every aspect of the machinery is thoroughly assessedA strong commitment to safety practicesGood physical fitness for heavy lifting and working in various positions - essentialDedicated and reliable and a team player willing to collaborate with colleaguesAre you ready to take the next step in your career?
