About Kelton Rentals & Sales With 13 years of industry experience, Kelton Rentals & Sales specialises in dry hire equipment, including excavators, track loaders, rollers, dump trucks, dozers, graders, tipper trucks, and a variety of attachments.
They also sell trucks and semi-trailers, maintaining a fleet of over 80 machines powered by leading engines such as Caterpillar, Yanmar, Kubota, Deutz, Isuzu, and Cummins.

About the Role The Diesel Mechanic/Fitter will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of Kelton's earthmoving equipment, trucks, and trailers.
This role combines mechanical expertise with practical, hands-on tasks, ensuring the fleet is always ready to perform.
Key Responsibilities Scheduled servicing of earthmoving equipment, trucks, trailers, and attachments.
Maintenance and small repairs, including oil leaks, bearings, steering boxes, and brakes.
Welding, spray painting, and panel beating as required.
Conducting on-site repairs and responding to breakdowns.
Auto electrical repairs, accessory installations, and diagnostics.
Preparing equipment for rental, including pressure washing and detailing.
Refurbishing trucks and trailers to meet operational standards.
Deliveries and checking in equipment post-use.
Working independently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
Candidate Requirements Essential Skills Proven experience in diesel mechanics/fitting with various engines, drivetrains, and gearboxes.
Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, including repairs and diagnostics.
Auto electrical skills for diagnostics and accessory installations.
A high level of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously.
Desirable Skills Proficiency in welding (Mig, Tig, Arc, Oxy/Acetylene) across materials like steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Spray painting and panel beating experience.
A valid truck licence.
Working Conditions Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–4:00 pm.
Flexibility for weekend shifts, adjusted hours, and after-hours work as needed.
