Position: We are seeking a highly professional, motivated, and enthusiastic individual with relevant qualifications to join our team as a Full-time Diesel Mechanic.
Skills and Experience: Maintain, test, and repair diesel motors and mechanical components of trucks, buses, and other heavy vehicles. Detect and diagnose defects in engines and parts. Disassemble and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection. Repair and replace worn or defective parts, following service manuals as necessary. Perform scheduled maintenance services like oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to ensure smooth vehicle operation and compliance with pollution regulations. Reassemble engines and parts after repairs. Test and adjust mechanical parts post-repair to guarantee proper performance. Utilize computer assistance for diagnosing and testing parts. May conduct vehicle inspections and issue roadworthiness certificates or recommend necessary work for roadworthiness. Qualifications: AQF Certificate III OR AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) At least two years of on-the-job training. Remuneration: Successful candidates will be paid a salary of $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation.
