Ace Civil Pty Ltd is located in Regents Park, NSW.
Founded in Sydney, Australia in 2018, ACE is a full-service early works contractor working in the construction industry.
Services include Asbestos Removal, Demolition, Earthworks, Civil Works, Piling, Shoring Systems and Contaminated Site Management.
Situated within the corporate structure of the Ace Group, the group is a large-scale employer in the building and construction industry and has management of numerous construction projects.
We have experienced unprecedented growth in recent years which has created a number of employment opportunities.
Key tasks and responsibilities of the role: Maintain, service, repair and test company heavy machinery assets, vehicles and equipment with diesel engines including associated mechanical components.
This includes cranes, excavators, piling rigs, dozers, skid-steer loaders, front end loaders, forklifts, motor vehicles, concrete pumps and crushers; Undertake preventative and ongoing maintenance of all company heavy machinery assets, vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with noise mitigation and pollution emission regulatory standards; Service all heavy machinery assets, vehicles and equipment within manufacturer's guidelines as well as monthly and annual preventative scheduled maintenance and logbook servicing requirements; Maintain compliance with annual vehicle registration inspections and heavy vehicle inspection requirements as applicable with Transport for NSW and the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator; Ensure all moving plant and equipment is maintained with appropriate records keeping according to the Moving Plant on Construction Sites Code of Practice and the Work Health and Safety Act 2017 (NSW); Inspect heavy machinery assets and vehicles for roadworthiness, including for purposes of obtaining safety check certificates or documenting required work to achieve appropriate roadworthiness; Detect and diagnose faults in mechanical and electrical subsystems of diesel engines of heavy machinery assets, vehicles and equipment and their associated parts; Dismantle, remove and disassemble diesel engines, transmissions, steering control mechanisms and other associated components and check component parts; Diagnose, repair and replace worn and defective subcomponents and reassemble according to authorised service manuals and databases; Reassemble engines and component parts following repair or replacement of components; Test and adjust component parts after repair and/or replacement installation for proper performance; Perform oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups for efficient and safe running of heavy machinery assets, vehicles and equipment; Respond to heavy machinery, vehicle and equipment break downs and urgent service and repair calls at all company depots and across all worksites located throughout the Greater Sydney Area; Ensure compliance with applicable work, health and safety requirements.
Key skills and experience required: AQF Certificate IV or AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or alternatively, three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications (with overseas obtained qualifications being considered where the qualification is assessed as suitable); Two years of relevant work experience or three years where applicant relies on work experience in lieu of formal qualifications; Proficiency in the English language; Excellent communication – both written and verbal; Strong understanding of workplace WHS procedures.
We currently have a Diesel Mechanic vacancy and the salary range on offer for the position is $80,000.00 per annum plus superannuation.
