Diesel Mechanic

Fitters, Turners & Machinists (Trades & Services) We are currently seeking a trade-qualified and experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join a privately owned and highly successful major transport maintenance and repair organisation. Working on a range of trucks, trailers, bus servicing and fleet management, you will be provided with excellent working conditions and environment.
The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a similar environment and will be familiar with all aspects of mechanical repairs and servicing.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnosing mechanical repairs and servicing to all makes and models of heavy road transport vehicles, including trucks, trailers and buses.Utilise diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and identify problems.Prepare appropriate paperwork and report work carried out to Workshop Foreman for customer liaison.Keeping work area clean and tidy and working to OH&S compliance.Work with the Purchasing department to coordinate correct parts and materials are ordered on time.Key Requirements: Mechanical Trade qualificationsAbility to work well within a teamPrevious experience in a range of Heavy Vehicle EquipmentSound mechanical experience and knowledgeComputer LiteracyHR & LF Licences (desirable)This is a permanent full-time position with extended hours available.
