About the role We are currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join the Maintenance team. This is a critical role providing mechanical and service work on mobile fleet such as loaders, forklifts, trucks, light vehicles, and other mobile plant across 3 mill sites, located in Mount Gambier. This includes maintaining electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, lubrication, and pneumatic systems, as well as upkeep of the external and internal condition of this equipment.
About you Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or equivalentCurrent driver license (and endorsements) suitable for driving, operating, and moving mobile fleet or the ability to quickly gain these licenses/endorsements.High Risk Work LicenseDiesel or heavy machine mechanical experience desired but not crucialHands-on, post trade experience in heavy mechanical servicing and/or heavy mobile fleetThorough understanding of contemporary mobile fleet maintenance requirements.Timber industry or heavy engineering experience in mobile plant and equipment, earthmoving, or other related equipment preferred but not essential.To succeed in this role you will demonstrate: Thorough understanding of contemporary mobile fleet maintenance requirements.Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive and cohesive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.High level of computer literacy and use of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, etc.How to apply If this sounds like the perfect job for you, please click Apply Now.
