We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Dandenong.
This is a casual ongoing position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
The successful candidate will work in a clean and well-equipped workshop, focusing on the mechanics and hydraulics of a variety of vehicles.
The position operates on a day shift, from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of diesel engines and associated systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in hydraulic systems and other mechanical components.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and well-organised workshop environment.
- Bring and manage your own tools on-site for effective performance of tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and service quality.
Requirements: - Certified Diesel Mechanic - Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with a focus on heavy vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues effectively.
- Must supply your own tools.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the maintenance of high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
