We are seeking an experienced residential Diesel Mechanic to service our Northern Tasmanian customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of diesel-powered construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and backhoes.
Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel-powered construction equipmentConduct engine overhauls, rebuilds, and replacements as neededIdentify and diagnose issues using computerized diagnostic tools and other equipmentInspect, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systemsEnsure compliance with safety protocols and regulationsCommunicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer serviceMaintain accurate and complete service recordsMon - Fri role offering solid a wage plus overtime at penalty rates.Excellent wage up to $42/hr + penalties + super + vehicle + fuel cardHeaps of training and developmentGenuinely great company culture and awesome management teamThis company loves to hire from within, so if you're planning to move up into a Workshop Supervisor or Management role this is the right position for you.
CandidateIn order to be considered, candidates will come from a heavy equipment service background within any relatable industry.
If you've worked in a trade role construction equipment, mining, forestry, access equipment, forklifts, generators, compressors or any other relevant equipment, we want to speak with you!
Key candidate criteria are:
Relevant Trade Qualification of Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Light Vehicle MechanicProven experience working on earthmoving equipment, access equipment, ag equipment or trucksStrong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostics skillsAbility to navigate computer programs for diagnostics and troubleshootingExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to prioritize and manage time effectivelyIf you have the above criteria hit the apply button or for more information phone Noel Reid 0447 092 947 or (03) 9709 4089
