The Position We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of diesel-powered construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and backhoes.
Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel-powered construction equipment. Conduct engine overhauls, rebuilds, and replacements as needed. Identify and diagnose issues using computerized diagnostic tools and other equipment. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations. Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service. Maintain accurate and complete service records. Mon - Fri role offering solid wage plus overtime at penalty rates. Benefits Excellent wage up to $42/hr + penalties + super + vehicle + fuel card. Heaps of training and development. If you've worked in a trade role involving construction equipment, mining, forestry, access equipment, forklifts, generators, compressors, or any other relevant equipment, we want to speak with you!
Key candidate criteria are:
Relevant Trade Qualification of Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic. Proven experience working on earthmoving equipment, access equipment, ag equipment, or trucks. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and diagnostics skills. Ability to navigate computer programs for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. Strong computer literacy.
