About the role: As NPE continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter who is eager to work for a leader in the provision of pump, power and compressed air equipment and services. This is a full-time position based out of our branch located in Para Hills West, with regular travel to site. You will perform assembly, testing, repairs and maintenance to plant and equipment which includes mine site dewatering.
Key Responsibilities: Undertaking maintenance & repair of equipmentCarry out engine diagnosis, diesel & mechanical repairs and servicingEnsuring delivery schedules are met in a timely mannerPerforming engine diagnosis, mechanical repairs and servicingInspections and assessments of returned fleet for damage, ensuring the assessment includes scope of repairs and partsAccurate recording of servicing information and other documentation relevant to the roleConnection and testing of pumping equipmentUndertake ad-hoc servicing, installs and repairs in the field as requiredAttending site to perform work according to operational requirementsDeliver excellent customer service and champion the NPE brandSkills and Experience: Relevant Trade Certificate – Mechanical or Mechanical FittingExperience in diesel mechanical maintenance, diagnostics and repairsAssessing and scoping required repairs & partsAbility to read manuals and schematics, document repair notes and interpret parts informationAble to work unsupervised with limited directionForklift ticket (or willing to obtain)Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industriesExperience in electric pump repairs, pump & system installations, diagnostics, duty testing, well point installationExperience aligning pump ends to drive systemsWe believe in providing a great employee experience.
