Breakout Heavy Diesel is a growing earthmoving repair business located in the Southern suburbs of Adelaide with majority of the work completed in the field and major works completed in the workshop.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to work on a variety of earthmoving, civil and mining equipment.We run a Purpose and Values driven business and are looking for the right high performing team member who is aligned with our cultural vision.As part of our team, you will have a unique opportunity to learn more about the earthmoving repair business, to increase your own self leadership skills, to contribute to the well being of others and to work in an inspirational team culture.We carry out servicing, minor and major repairs, overhauls, hydraulic hose manufacture, track repairs and line boring to all mobile plant applications.The successful applicant will:Be aligned with the business Purpose & CultureThrive working autonomously and also in a teamHave a strong focus and willingness to safetyBe driven by results and focused on outcomesBe willing to be held accountable for the responsibilities of their rolesBe willing to continue to learn and develop their skillsHave a minimum of 3 years' post trade experience (Cert 3 Mobile Plant)Have excellent phone & communication skillsDiesel mechanic with experience in similar role.Forklift, Air conditioning, welding, working at heights, dogging, rigging and white card tickets will be considered favourable or be willing to obtain.Must be able to provide work to a high standard with high attention to detail and high accuracy level.Experience with the use of diagnostic programs will be highly regarded.Must have own tools (specialised tooling provided)Experience working with a variety of machinery including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi, Liebherr etc.Must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical.Experience with making hydraulic hoses will be highly regarded.Be comfortable working within waste industries.Tasks & Responsibilities:Carry out servicing and repairs to all types of earthmoving machinery.Competently fault find and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air and hydraulic systems with the ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and workshop manuals.Competent in all aspects of mechanical repairs e.g component change outs, engine, drive line and hydraulic overhaul and repair.Carry out undercarriage repairs and replacement - Use of 100t Track press is an advantage.Maintain a professional approach to customers onsite and in the workshop.Be able to work with minimal supervision and onsite out of normal working hours if required.Have the ability to provide in-depth detailed reports of works completed using our online software program on time every time.Will need to be flexible with breakdowns as a large part of the business is reactive, time management and ability to complete jobs in a timely and professional manner.Experience with on-highway trucks and trailers highly regarded.Some travel may be required to service our outer metro and remote customers.Must be willing to participate in regular Saturday work on a rotating roster.Work with the team to maintain workshop consumables and stock levels.Company service vehicle and laptop supplied after initial qualifying period.Above industry pay rates.Regular overtime and weekend work is available.Highly competitive pay rate based on experience.
