About us: BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned and growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we're never too far away.
The successful candidates will possess the following: Relevant Trade Qualification Diagnostic experience Good communication skills Highway truck, truck mounted EWP, truck mounted cranes, field servicing or heavy earthmoving experience a bonus Heavy rigid license Strong fault finding skills Ability to work as part of a team Extra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageous High-Risk license a bonus Your duties will include: Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4's Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems Checking vehicle lighting systems Test driving vehicles to gauge performance Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist What we can offer: Attractive hourly rate Full time employment (super, annual leave, sick leave) Mon-Fri or DIDO roster Accommodation provided for DIDO Company vehicle for work purposes Genuine career progression opportunities – leading hand, supervisor and management roles On-going training and upskilling available Large reputable company with a great culture and supportive team Excellent working conditions If you'd like to join the team or simply know more about our positions, then apply today and we'll be in touch to discuss further.
