The team carry out high quality maintenance and repair of all transport equipment, including scheduled maintenance and servicing across the Hallett Group of Companies. Due to continual growth within the business, we are looking for Diesel Mechanics or Light Vehicle Mechanics (ANZSCO 321212) looking to upskill, to join the Maintenance team on a permanent basis with relocation on offer from within Australia.Light Vehicle qualified or 3rd/4th year Heavy Vehicle Apprentice candidates are encouraged to apply!ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnostic and repairs of mechanical and electrical faults in engines and components.Removal and repairs to engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and inspection of parts.Removal and replacement of worn and defective components and reassembling mechanical components, with referring to OME workshop manuals as needed.Performing scheduled maintenance services, fluid and filter changes, mechanical inspections, and engine tune-ups, to achieve efficient running of vehicles and ensure compliance with emission regulations.Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.Diagnosing and testing procedures with the assistance of scan tools.Able to inspect vehicles and confirm the vehicle is roadworthy and report detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.Able to respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIESCert III in the Heavy diesel mechanical trade or light vehicle trade.Committed to working safely, assessing risk, and putting appropriate controls in place.Experience working on and servicing highway trucks/trailers & heavy plant and equipment.Knowledge and experience in hydraulics and pneumatics preferred.Proven experience in breakdown repairs to transport equipment.Electrical system diagnoses and repairs.Strong communication skills with the ability to work without direct supervision.Willing to undertake pre-employment functional assessment and drug and alcohol testing.Current & valid driver's license.WE OFFERRetention bonus 5% @ 6 months and 5% @ 12 months of initial service.Relocation within Australia including travel, removal of personal effects, and temporary accommodation.Full-time stable employment, with an attractive hourly rate + super + penalty rates, with the opportunity for overtime and afternoon shifts.Opportunity to work in a busy, highly successful team with a long-term career path.Ongoing training and support with genuine career development opportunities.Modern, well-equipped workshop facilities and specialist tools.Laundered overalls and full company supplied clothing and PPE.Field Service work opportunities for the right applicant.Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided).APPLY NOWTo be considered for this position click "APPLY" now.
