Diesel Fitters - FIFO Newmont Tanami Company: Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd About the Role We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Diesel Fitters to join our Newmont, Tanami Site Support team on 12 month fixed-term FIFO positions (likely to be extended), working on a new growing fleet of underground machines that include; CAT AD63's, R2900G and state of the art R2900XE LHD's and variety of ancillary equipment.
These are 14:14 alternating FIFO positions, flying out of either Brisbane, Darwin, or Alice Springs.
As a Site Support Diesel Fitter, your responsibilities will include: Warranty repair & maintenance of CAT & Elphinstone machinery in a safe, efficient & professional manner.
Diagnostic troubleshooting assessments of reported faults.
Quality condition/failure reporting.
Complete warranty processes and reporting.
Assist customer in maximizing machine production and efficiency.
Provide customer support and demonstrate product knowledge.

About You: You will bring the following skills and experience to the role: Trade Qualification – Certificate III Engineering (Diesel Fitting) is essential.
Previous experience on CAT machinery & CAT diagnostic systems will be desirable.
Strong computer skills.
Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work within a team and unsupervised.
