Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a large variety of mechanical equipment associated with our vessels, pontoons, and land-based assets in Port DouglasPerforming routine servicing and inspectionsTroubleshooting mechanical issues and recommending solutionsMaintaining accurate service records and adhering to safety standardsAbout you We are looking for candidates who:
Possess relevant trade qualifications (preferred but not essential) or hands-on experienceHave a strong interest in diesel mechanics and a willingness to learnAre mechanically minded with good problem-solving skillsHave a positive attitude and can work both independently and as part of a teamHold a valid driver's license (manual license preferred)Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safetyAre physically fit to meet the demands of the roleDesirable but Not Essential Certificate III in EngineeringPrevious experience in diesel fitting, heavy machinery, or similar fieldsWe are proudly Australia's leading Great Barrier Reef tourism company with operations based in Cairns, Port Douglas, and Green Island.
