Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Fitter to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and service of our fleet of diesel-powered equipment and machinery.
This role is critical in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our plant and equipment, which supports our civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular maintenance, repairs, and servicing of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components of heavy equipment.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency.Perform preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan and reliability of equipment.Work collaboratively with the project and plant maintenance teams to ensure all machinery is in top working condition.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues efficiently.Participate in regular training and development to stay updated with the latest technologies and maintenance practices.Qualifications and Experience: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitting) or equivalent.Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter, preferably within the civil construction or related industry.Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment maintenance.Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong commitment to safety and quality.Good communication skills and attention to detail.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites as required.What We Offer: Competitive hourly rateOpportunities for professional development and career progression.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Exposure to a variety of exciting and challenging projects.A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.How to Apply: If you are a dedicated and skilled Diesel Fitter looking for an exciting opportunity with a leading civil construction company, we would love to hear from you.
